Aberdeen
Aberdeen was Regensburg’s first twin city - the relationship started in 1955.

Brixen/Bressanone
The South Tyrolean city of Brixen, situated at the confluence of Eisack and Rienz rivers, became Regensburg's third twin city on 18 October 1969.

Budavár
Budavár is Regensburg’s second-youngest twin partner and situated in heart of the Hungarian capital of Budapest

Clermont-Ferrand
On 12 May 1969, mayor Gabriel Montpied and chief mayor Rudolf Schlichtinger signed a twin city partnership between Clermont-Ferrand and Regensburg. This makes Clermont-Ferrand (with a population of over 141,000) our second-oldest twin city after Aberdeen.

Odessa
Odessa an Regensburg are Partners since 1990

Pilsen
The twin agreement between Regensburg and Pilsen was signed on 25 September 1993.

Qingdao became Twin City in November 2009
