Investment Programme until 2014
With a special investment programme the German Ministry for Transport, Building and Urban Development supports investment related to the German World Heritage sites. The German Ministry for Transport, Building and Urban Development allocates 220 Million Euros of funding until 2014 for this programme.
Regensburg becomes seat of OWHC Regional Secretariat

World Heritage Management Plan
To safeguard preservation and development of World Heritage sites UNESCO requires management plans. Historic city centres can only remain vital by bringing together the actual requirements of old town areas with the mission to preserve their heritage. So the aim is to work out a cross cutting concept which allows for a future without conflict for the World Heritage site.
